Base Salary

$186k - $219k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant backend payment services using Go.
  • Own payment features end to end from technical design through production deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Build platform primitives, extension points, and self-serve APIs for adding payment methods and rails.
  • Translate product vision and business requirements into quarterly technical plans with cross-functional partners.
  • Improve reliability, observability, and performance across payment services.
  • Contribute through code reviews, design discussions, and advocacy for service-oriented architecture best practices.
  • Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of backend software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining production services in service-oriented or microservices architectures.
  • Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages and experience designing scalable, low-latency APIs and distributed systems.
  • Experience owning features from design through deployment and production support.
  • Experience with financial systems, payments infrastructure, or high-volume transactional systems requiring precision and auditability.
