Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code modules, CI/CD pipeline templates, internal libraries, and golden-path scaffolding for secure-by-default development.
- Engineer policy-as-code, admission controllers, cloud guardrails, pre-commit checks, and CI controls that block or flag insecure paths.
- Own self-service platform security tooling consumed by other engineering teams.
- Secure software and infrastructure supply chains through pipeline security, artifact integrity, dependency and container scanning, and secrets management.
- Design workload and service identity controls using least privilege, short-lived credentials, and federated trust.
- Write and maintain production-quality code and infrastructure for security controls.
- Partner with platform, infrastructure, and product engineering teams on high-impact designs and convert recurring findings into automated paved roads.
- Set technical direction, document secure-by-default standards, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in security engineering, platform or infrastructure engineering, DevSecOps, or a related field, with end-to-end ownership of complex systems.
- Strong software engineering ability and experience writing, reviewing, and shipping production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipeline security, and policy or guardrails as code.
- Deep working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider and its security and identity model.
- Ability to design durable automated solutions that reduce risk while balancing security and business tradeoffs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: hands-on Kubernetes, OPA/Gatekeeper, Terraform, Go, Python, Rust, Bash, PowerShell, Azure security, supply-chain security, container hardening, secrets management, offensive security, and security tooling operated as an internal product.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification and experience.
