Responsibilities

  • Design and implement landing GNC flight software and truth-side lunar lander models.
  • Develop unit-, integration-, and system-level testing frameworks for GNC algorithms.
  • Support MIL, SIL, PIL, and HIL software test campaigns and evaluate results from a GNC design perspective.
  • Perform guidance, control, navigation, trajectory, thruster, attitude-dynamics, sloshing, flexible-dynamics, covariance, and sensor analyses, while developing dedicated software tools.
  • Support pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight analysis, flight operations, operational procedures, and ground-system interface and tool design.
  • Document GNC subsystem technical specifications and troubleshoot algorithms and components to mitigate errors and misbehavior.
  • Support future space vehicle development studies and mission feasibility work.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of AOCS or GNC subsystem engineering experience.
  • Experience with 6DOF spacecraft simulations, including state propagation, dynamics and hardware modeling, and closed-loop integration.
  • Experience developing spacecraft trajectory optimization, onboard guidance, attitude-control, and navigation algorithms.
  • Experience with C/C++, Python, Git, clean code practices, and unit testing frameworks.
  • Business-level English communication skills and effective cross-functional teamwork.
  • Preferred: 10+ years of AOCS/GNC experience, real-time flight software implementation, software integration across programming languages, space-systems engineering, spacecraft operations, MATLAB/Simulink, and business-level Japanese.

Benefits
