Responsibilities
- Build and improve systems, platforms, and tools supporting QRT’s research, trading, investment, risk, and P&L activities.
- Develop production technology such as low-latency execution systems, exchange simulator functionality, risk data platforms, trading interfaces, and static-analysis tools.
- Contribute to quantitative research platforms, machine learning systems, data pipelines, and research and trading tools.
- Work with engineers, quantitative developers, researchers, traders, and risk teams to understand problems and deliver practical technical solutions.
- Understand technical problems, make sound engineering choices, and take ownership of defined projects.
Requirements
- Be a penultimate- or final-year student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering, on track for a 2:1 or above.
- Demonstrate hands-on software engineering experience through projects, open-source contributions, hobbies, internships, or academic work.
- Have proficiency in C++, C#, or Python.
- Be familiar with scripting languages such as Python or Bash and tools including Git, SQL, GCC, and Linux.
- Show curiosity, initiative, self-motivation, sound judgment, and comfort asking questions and taking ownership.
- Pass a technical coding assessment and technical interviews or an assessment centre process.
