Responsibilities
- Drive infrastructure automation and configuration management for 2,000+ VMs, dozens of Kubernetes clusters, and 600+ on-premises servers across 120+ distributed Equinix data centers.
- Collaborate with global AMER, EMEA, and APAC teams on security, networking, and platform standards.
- Implement GitOps practices for deployments, drift management, and a developer portal.
- Design scalable solutions with internal customers and product stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
- Work with technical project managers and product management teams to define and plan multiple projects.
- Participate in on-call shifts using established support processes.
Requirements
- Strong experience managing on-premises Kubernetes clusters at scale and deep proficiency in Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with Proxmox and/or VMware.
- Proficiency in virtualization and containerization technologies such as QEMU, KVM, LXC, and Docker.
- Experience with configuration-management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Chef.
- Familiarity with observability tools including Prometheus and Grafana.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tooling such as ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with secrets-management processes and tools such as HashiCorp Vault.
- Background in distributed systems and desirable experience with networking and routing.
- Additional strengths include experience with Kafka and ClickHouse, willingness to work with agile methodologies, teamwork, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
