Responsibilities
- Complete a challenging, real-world software engineering project within a small group.
- Develop technical skills through engineering talks, training, and guest speakers.
- Attend career-building skill workshops.
- Receive coaching and mentorship from a Duolingo Software Engineer.
- Build relationships with other interns who share a passion for accessible education.
Requirements
- Be a second-year undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, graduating between December 2028 and August 2029.
- Have completed at least two college-level computer science courses and submit an official or unofficial transcript.
- Have programming experience in one or more of Java, Python, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Be dedicated to Duolingo's mission of accessible education.
- Be available for 10 consecutive weeks from June 14, 2027, through August 20, 2027.
- Be able to relocate to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.5 or higher and a Duolingo streak.
