Responsibilities
- Develop production software for robotic control and full-stack systems under experienced engineering guidance.
- Implement and test control algorithms, sensor integration, and low-level hardware communication protocols.
- Optimize software for embedded and real-time constraints and build APIs, services, product features, dashboards, internal tools, and operational workflows.
- Debug production issues, investigate root causes, and write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing, technical planning, observability, version control, and continuous integration.
- Collaborate with software, robotics, firmware, product, and operations teams while contributing to real production systems.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming fundamentals in one or more of C++, Go, Python, Java, or Rust.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, debugging, and software design principles.
- Experience building software through coursework, internships, research, personal projects, or open-source contributions.
- Strong problem-solving, curiosity, collaboration, technical communication, self-motivation, ownership, and willingness to learn.
- Preferred qualifications include C++ and ROS or ROS 2 experience, Linux and embedded or real-time systems familiarity, computer vision or sensor fusion knowledge, Gazebo experience, Git, robotics or hardware-related projects, AI-assisted development tools, open-source contributions, or technical leadership in student organizations.
