Base Salary
$169k - $254k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop efficient software designs and code for a ground program based on specifications and changing customer or system requirements.
- Develop applications for Linux/Unix operating systems using server-side programming languages.
- Integrate systems using data-driven designs, subsystem interfaces, APIs, and complex workflows.
- Work with asynchronous messaging systems and container-based applications.
- Operate independently, solve diverse technical problems, and communicate status and technical information to leads and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of software development experience, or a master’s degree and 10 years, or a PhD and 8 years; an additional 4+ years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access.
- Experience developing applications on Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Exposure to Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Basic understanding of asynchronous messaging systems such as NATS, ActiveMQ, or gRPC.
- Working knowledge of one or more server-side languages including Python, C++, Node.js, Go, or Java.
- Familiarity with data-driven system integration and strong knowledge of subsystem interfaces, APIs, and complex workflows.
- Preferred experience includes satellite ground-system Mission Management and Control software, secure or reliable code, unit testing, code coverage, SonarQube, Fortify, container-based applications, C++ and Python, and data-centric software design.
