Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated tests for frontend, backend, and API flows using Playwright and TypeScript or C#.
- Test microservices-based systems, Azure workflows, event-driven systems, and message-based scenarios such as Service Bus topics.
- Coordinate release readiness and determine testing priorities and release groupings.
- Combine automation with manual and exploratory testing where appropriate.
- Improve manual testing practices so they remain efficient and sustainable as the team grows.
- Collaborate with developers, the engineering manager, and stakeholders to establish a practical quality process.
- Use AI-assisted tools for test creation, maintenance, triage, and analysis.
- Help scale quality practices without slowing the engineering team.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in QA, test automation, software engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong test-automation experience, ideally covering frontend and API testing.
- Experience with Playwright or a similar modern automation framework.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, C#, or another automation language.
- Practical understanding of release coordination in microservices-based systems and experience testing APIs and backend workflows.
- Familiarity with Azure or other cloud environments.
- Ability to work independently, organize work, and structure scalable processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with developers and stakeholders.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to use AI tools efficiently.
- Preferred experience includes building QA processes for growing teams, event-driven or message-based systems, infrastructure or environment concepts, CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted testing, product-oriented engineering environments, and security-related or data-sensitive systems.
