Base Salary
$230k - $490k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions for scalability and rapidly increasing demand.
- Build and maintain load, chaos, and synthetic-testing software for development teams.
- Develop automation tools that reduce repetitive work and improve system reliability.
- Build and maintain CPU, storage, GPU, and network lifecycle-management platforms.
- Implement fault-tolerant and resilient design patterns to minimize service disruptions.
- Develop and maintain service level objectives and service level indicators.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists on reliable feature and research delivery.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents and support 24/7 availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a software engineer focused on reliability or in a similar role at a fast-paced, rapidly scaling company.
- Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure and programming languages.
- Experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
- Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, ownership, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Experience building reliability tooling and systems from 0 to 1 and identifying performance bottlenecks.
