Responsibilities

  • Develop and support animation and VFX production pipeline procedures and tools.
  • Support workflows for character rigging, character animation, simulation, props, layout, cameras, plates, geometry conversions, shot asset management, and approvals.
  • Manage complex scene dependencies across multiple departments.
  • Develop automated publishing, data validation, and efficient scene organization workflows.
  • Support Unreal scene management, Sequencer-based operations, data exchange between Maya and Unreal, and visualization workflows.
  • Meet production schedules and show deadlines while collaborating with production, supervisors, and peers to solve technical problems.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Maya and Python programming.
  • Experience creating user interfaces with PyQt or PySide.
  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system and Git version control system.
  • Experience working on CG and VFX productions.
  • A two-year diploma or one-year certificate is most desired, or two to three years of relevant experience may be accepted.
  • Experience with C++ is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Katana, Unreal, Houdini, and/or USD is a plus.
  • Understanding of Unreal scene management, Sequencer-based operations, DCC data exchange, USD-based integration, and Blueprint scripting is a plus.
