Base Salary
$185k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build features and improvements for the Cloudflare Workers Runtime.
- Improve runtime performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Expand JavaScript API and WebAssembly support.
- Shape features based on technical possibilities and product goals.
- Own production code and debug issues in large-scale distributed systems.
- Work in a fast-paced, iterative environment balancing product goals with technical execution.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent professional experience with C++ or Rust.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- An operational mindset and experience owning production systems.
- Deep understanding of the web, including HTTP, JavaScript, and WebAssembly.
- Experience debugging and optimizing large-scale Linux-based distributed systems.
- Preferred experience includes high-performance distributed systems in Rust, cloud or serverless platforms, JavaScript engine internals, standalone WebAssembly runtimes, Linux, UNIX, kernel or networking systems, and contributions to large open source projects.
