Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Genomics AI strategy, roadmap, delivery plan, and prioritized portfolio of AI use cases.
- Establish AI governance, responsible-AI standards, guardrails, productivity metrics, adoption tracking, and value-realization reporting.
- Architect and prototype GenAI, agentic AI, RAG, and classical ML solutions and establish reusable technical patterns and evaluation standards.
- Drive AI-powered automation across the software delivery lifecycle and scientific workflows.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, develop proofs of concept, and take successful AI use cases into production.
- Raise engineering teams’ AI capabilities through coaching, mentorship, reusable patterns, and technical influence without direct authority.
- Partner with development leaders, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver capabilities end to end.
- Present roadmaps, business cases, and measurable outcomes to senior leadership and contribute to Eurofins’ group-wide AI roadmap.
Requirements
- 12–16 years of overall experience in software/data engineering, architecture, technology leadership, and digital transformation roles.
- At least 3 years leading AI, ML, or data-science initiatives.
- Demonstrated delivery of enterprise-scale AI solutions to production, beyond pilot projects.
- Deep, current expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-assisted software development practices.
- Strong solution-architecture skills on cloud-native platforms, plus ML fundamentals, prompt engineering, and evaluation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with AI platforms such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, cloud technologies, and engineering-productivity metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, analytical-reasoning, problem-solving, writing, and influencing skills.
- Preferred experience includes knowledge graphs, vector databases at scale, LLMOps/MLOps, AI cost optimization, production observability, and regulated or life-sciences environments.
