Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain build infrastructure for a large TypeScript and Node.js codebase.
- Define and refine Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes and best practices with software and platform engineers.
- Identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and automation opportunities in development pipelines.
- Develop and maintain scalable platform features that improve the reliability, availability, and scalability of software delivery processes.
- Train and support internal software engineers in using platform tools.
- Operate, scale, troubleshoot, and improve stateful Kubernetes workloads and production-grade services.
- Design and program custom operators to automate platform workflows and extend infrastructure capabilities.
- Build AI-powered platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and automate engineering workflows, including CI/CD, observability, testing, and release processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on the backend, integrations, or CI/CD pipelines of a high-performing engineering team.
- Experience building reusable components and libraries and understanding scalable architecture.
- Thorough understanding of Linux, Docker, and CI tools such as GitHub Actions or similar.
- Experience designing, implementing, and documenting API services.
- Experience managing stateful Kubernetes workloads in production.
- Experience designing and programming custom operators for platform automation and reliability.
- Strong communication, documentation, technical guidance, ownership, troubleshooting, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Understanding of the Node.js and TypeScript ecosystems and automated build and testing tools is a plus.
- Kubernetes, Python, Golang, Terraform, and Azure Cloud knowledge is a plus.
- Experience building AI-powered platform capabilities is a plus.
