Staff Forward Deploy Engineer (Fullstack - Java/React)

Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack solutions, integrations, fixes, tests, and platform improvements primarily with Java and React.
- Partner with customers and field teams to gather requirements, define technical strategies, and support occasional pre-sales scoping.
- Design and deliver customer integrations and deployments, including runbooks, integration documentation, knowledge transfer, and executive-level technical communication.
- Contribute fixes and improvements upstream to SentinelOne’s core platform and build tooling that scales Forward Deploy Engineering practices.
- Architect end-to-end solutions across complex codebases, document trade-offs, review technical specifications, and perform code reviews.
- Mentor Senior Forward Deploy Engineers, set engagement standards, provide technical leadership, and respond to customer and internal escalations.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of engineering experience spanning both backend and frontend development.
- Strong computer science background and experience designing and operating distributed systems or data-intensive services.
- Deep proficiency in at least one production language, with Java strongly preferred and 5+ years of Java experience preferred, plus working comfort in another language.
- Experience leading substantial work end to end under ambiguity and collaborating with customers or senior stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
- Working familiarity with Java, React, TypeScript, Kafka, Redis, GraphQL, Node.js, and related codebases and tools.
- Experience with cybersecurity concepts or domains such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, log pipelines, detection engineering, or threat hunting is strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly with engineers, customers, executives, sales, and product stakeholders and to mentor other engineers.

- U.S. role with location-dependent base salary ranges; the stated base salary range is $156,000–$215,000 USD.
