Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware for AIoT infrastructure and robotics.
- Develop firmware for eLinux or eAndroid-based SoCs and SoMs.
- Create firmware for microcontrollers and various RF technologies.
- Implement battery and power management firmware with a focus on safety.
- Develop manufacturing software provisioning and calibration tooling.
- Create unit, integration, and automated tests as part of the development process.
- Support electrical engineering with board bring-up and hardware debugging.
- Collaborate with distributed teams and vendors to optimize performance.
- Mentor engineers on effective AI-assisted development for firmware.
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8-14 years of industry experience in firmware or embedded development.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, Golang, and Python.
- Experience with embedded Linux and Android, including Yocto and AOSP.
- Familiarity with RTOS on microcontrollers and ability to read datasheets.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants in real codebases.
- Experience with cellular LTE and 5G modems is a plus.
