Responsibilities
- Execute software design, development, technical troubleshooting, and solution delivery for complex software problems.
- Lead team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices while establishing validation standards for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
- Use SDLC tools, AI-assisted development capabilities, and automation to improve engineering efficiency and outcomes.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations satisfy design constraints.
- Identify problems and data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe validation and compliant adoption.
- Strong knowledge of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures knowledge.
- Practical experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, source code management tools such as Git and Bitbucket, and software delivery automation.
- Proficiency designing and implementing relational database data models and experience using PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, Azure, or Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with Identity and Access Management.
- Preferred experience with AWS S3, EC2, EKS, IAM, Lambda, and cloud- and container-based development including Gaia and Kubernetes.
