Base Salary
$69k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement software requirement verification and validation test plans and procedures.
- Integrate software, analyze requirements and performance, execute tests, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate software defect remediation.
- Write automated test procedure scripts using Perl, Python, Linux, and automated software test tools.
- Deliver full-stack features from implementation through review, testing, and deployment with increasing independence.
- Develop clean, maintainable, testable production code and create unit and integration tests.
- Work with REST APIs, microservices, cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test frameworks.
- Conduct test walkthroughs and communicate plans, status, and results to integration and test leads, team members, and customers.
- Support junior engineers through pairing, code reviews, onboarding, and troubleshooting guidance.
- Identify opportunities to improve code quality, automation, processes, and tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience developing, integrating, testing, and deploying software.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C# and ability to write clean, testable, automatable code.
- Experience with test automation scripting using Python, Bash, or Perl and exposure to frameworks or tools such as PyTest, JUnit, Selenium, Postman/Newman, or Cucumber.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience building or working with RESTful APIs and web applications, including integration and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to collaborate with integration and test leads and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work in the office at least 3 days per week, increasing to up to 5 days per week after obtaining a security clearance.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Preferred experience with Spring Boot, React, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, microservices, formal verification and validation, or aerospace and defense environments.
- An active U.S. Government Security Clearance, preferably TS/SCI, is desired.
