Responsibilities
- Engage regional business and plant teams to identify operational challenges, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Create product roadmaps and facilitate workshops to prioritize vision-system capabilities.
- Design, develop, validate, and deploy computer vision systems for automated inspection, defect detection, and process monitoring.
- Integrate edge devices, cameras, sensors, lighting, AI models, data pipelines, and manufacturing equipment.
- Develop predictive and preventative maintenance schedules and spare-parts lists.
- Lead regional pilots, R&D trials, commissioning, deployment, and feedback cycles.
- Evaluate hardware and software for brownfield and greenfield applications.
- Create technical documentation including supplier statements of work, bills of materials, calibration procedures, quality procedures, and spare-parts lists.
- Guide vendor selection and manage partnerships with equipment suppliers and system integrators.
- Benchmark emerging computer vision, machine learning, and industrial automation technologies and promote standardization.
- Communicate technical concepts and project status to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in computer vision, machine learning, or automation engineering.
- Experience integrating vision systems in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with industrial cameras, sensors, and lighting systems.
- Experience deploying AI models to edge devices or cloud platforms.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects in international settings.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and simulation software is a plus.
