Base Salary
$222k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines using AWS services.
- Own the architecture and reliability of core data infrastructure.
- Build and maintain data workflows and orchestration using Dagster.
- Partner with backend and product engineers to define event schemas and data contracts.
- Improve the reliability and observability of data pipelines.
- Collaborate with Analytics and ML teams to support various use cases.
- Optimize pipelines and storage for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement infrastructure as code to manage AWS and Snowflake resources.
- Contribute to data platform standards and best practices.
- Lead technical design discussions and shape the future architecture.
- Mentor other engineers to enhance engineering quality.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Deep experience building and operating data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services like Kinesis and Glue.
- Strong experience with Snowflake for data processing.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks like Dagster.
- Proficiency with dbt for managing transformations and data modeling.
- Experience designing systems for reliability and observability.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and pipeline design best practices.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and make high-quality decisions.
