Responsibilities
- Build and scale Phaselaw’s core backend product.
- Ship features, bug fixes, and performance improvements across backend systems.
- Work on databases, data ingestion, and AI systems.
- Ship two major features during the first month and continue delivering frequent updates.
- Collaborate with founders, the engineering team, and customers to shape the product.
- Use the product to identify areas for improvement and maintain a strong focus on quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend development experience, ideally in startups or fast-moving teams.
- Strong expertise in Python for backend development.
- Strong database expertise, including Postgres and/or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with infrastructure management using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Bias for action, strong product sense, and a commitment to high ownership.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and deliver an exceptional user experience.
