Responsibilities
- Define comprehensive test strategies with development, product, and QA teams.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute robust automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Create and maintain test automation frameworks using patterns and tools such as Page Object Model, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber BDD.
- Write and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and other manual and automated testing.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, identify defects, and work with development teams on resolution.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
- Conduct API testing using Postman or Swagger.
- Write and execute SQL queries for database validation and data-integrity checks.
- Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts.
- Report test progress, defect status, and overall product quality to stakeholders.
- Research and implement testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve QA effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of Quality Assurance experience focused on test automation.
- Proficiency designing and developing automated test scripts with Selenium WebDriver.
- Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or similar.
- Practical understanding of the Page Object Model design pattern.
- Experience with manual functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with Git and other version control systems.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Cucumber or other BDD frameworks, performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner, security testing, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, mobile application test automation, and relevant QA or test automation certifications.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
