Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements and technical specifications to design application test strategies, plans, and cases.
- Execute test cases and scenarios, document results, troubleshoot issues, and report defects.
- Collaborate with product management on defect triage, beta testing, and stakeholder showcases.
- Work with application development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to develop and enhance automation.
- Conduct ETL/data warehouse backend testing, business intelligence report testing, and cloud application testing.
- Perform frontend automation and contribute to performance, security, responsive design, and other non-functional testing initiatives.
- Identify bugs in complex ETL data-processing workflows and define success criteria for application analysis initiatives.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of testing principles, testing types, and testing methodologies.
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write and interpret complex queries.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python or Java.
- Extensive experience with ETL/data warehouse backend testing and business intelligence report testing.
- Experience testing business intelligence and analytics applications in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience identifying defects in complex ETL data processing.
- Experience with test management tools such as ALM, Rally, and JIRA.
- Experience with scheduling tools, preferably Cloud Composer/Airflow or CTM.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with frontend automation using Java/Selenium or another automation tool.
- Familiarity with security testing, performance testing, and non-functional testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies and using tools such as Rally and JIRA.
