Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Lead the design and development of new features and products.
- Define technical strategies, architectural direction, and engineering decisions.
- Optimize existing systems for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical strategy and implementation.
- Contribute to the evolution of the technology stack and development processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend appropriate innovations.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Ruby and strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
- 8–10+ years of software development experience with a record of leading complex projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL or MySQL and Git.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
- Knowledge of scalable and distributed systems architecture.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and balancing technical leadership with hands-on coding.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a passion for emerging technologies.
