Responsibilities
- Develop software and applications that improve other engineers’ software development processes.
- Build and scale services to support hundreds of users and thousands of requests per minute.
- Design and operate developer productivity tools, large-scale change automation systems, and code transformation platforms.
- Interact with customers, product managers, and partner teams to deliver effective tools and change strategies.
- Write design documents and drive technical changes across teams and organizations.
- Design data models and choose storage solutions for relational and non-relational datasets.
- Write queries and reports that support analytics and dashboards.
- Ensure the reliability and success of developer productivity tools across multiple layers of the stack.
Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer working on developer platforms or productivity teams, with back-end development proficiency, preferably in Java or Python.
- Experience building complex applications and scaling services and applications to hundreds of users and thousands of requests per minute.
- Ability to research and document technical tradeoffs clearly and concisely.
- Ability to manage projects independently from design through production.
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience writing tests and solving difficult testing and reliability challenges in complex domains.
- Experience using data to make quantitative decisions and derive useful signals from noisy systems.
- Experience collaborating with customer and partner teams to execute software change campaigns.
- Platform engineering expertise.
- Familiarity with AWS and core AWS services such as EC2 and S3.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container management solutions.
- Experience designing, building, and operating continuous delivery and continuous integration systems.
- Experience delivering full-stack tools and services across persistence, data, business logic, service APIs, and front-end user experience.
