Responsibilities
- Develop algorithmic or MATLAB system and product modules and flows, including research, design, development, implementation, and proliferation.
- Perform algorithmic characterization and feasibility work, including problem analysis, data gathering, literature review, concept selection, evaluation, and implementation planning.
- Create work plans for owned algorithmic modules or flows and document their development.
- Plan and support implementation, integration, and testing of algorithmic modules or flows.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze gaps, define activities, collect data, and support solution integration and deployment.
- Participate in system definitions and account for system and application environments during module and flow development.
- Tutor and instruct other algorithm developers and guide colleagues working on the same module or flow.
- Evaluate new technologies and analyze competitor technology within the area of expertise.
Requirements
- Demonstrated depth and/or breadth of expertise in a specialized discipline or field.
- Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
- Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate resources, risk, and complexity.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills for complex problems and innovative solution development.
- Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt different points of view.
- Ability to work with internal and external customers and support algorithm integration, testing, and proliferation.
