Base Salary

$87k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-performance embedded real-time software in C/C++.
  • Design, implement, test, debug, and integrate software across heterogeneous systems containing multiple processor types and FPGAs.
  • Develop Linux and VxWorks software for embedded multithreaded platforms and integrate with custom hardware, sensors, and control interfaces.
  • Implement middleware and control, detection, and tracking algorithms developed by systems engineering teams.
  • Analyze performance and optimize real-time processing and signal-processing implementations.
  • Integrate software components into larger systems for real-world testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Travel up to 15% as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, an advanced related degree and at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. Government security clearance is required on the first day; U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.
  • Experience in at least two of embedded C/C++ software, high-performance computer systems, embedded real-time sensor and control applications, or software architecture design and implementation.
  • Experience with embedded real-time operating systems, such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
  • Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Preferred experience with Ada, C/C++, digital signal processing algorithms, linear algebra, VSIPL or another vector-processing library, MATLAB, and real-time processing optimization.
  • Understanding of computer architectures, networking, device drivers, analog and digital interfaces, and multiple real-time operating systems is preferred.
  • Experience with signal processing and performance optimization is preferred.
