Base Salary

$87k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and integrate high-performance embedded real-time software for deployed DoD systems.
  • Develop Linux and VxWorks software across embedded multi-threaded platforms and integrate software with custom hardware.
  • Implement middleware and control, detection, and tracking algorithms developed by systems engineering teams.
  • Integrate software with heterogeneous processor systems, FPGAs, external sensors, and control interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test contributions, analyze performance, and prepare systems for real-world deployment.
  • Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Travel approximately 10% to 15%.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, an advanced related degree and at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance is required on the first day.
  • Experience in at least two of embedded C/C++ software, high-performance computer systems, embedded real-time sensor and control applications, and software architecture design and implementation.
  • Experience with embedded real-time operating systems such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
  • Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Proficiency using C/C++.
  • Preferred experience includes Ada, digital signal processing algorithms and software, linear algebra, VSIPL or another vector-processing library, MATLAB, C/C++ algorithm optimization, and real-time processing optimization.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
