Base Salary
$87k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and integrate high-performance embedded real-time software for deployed DoD systems.
- Develop Linux and VxWorks software across embedded multi-threaded platforms and integrate software with custom hardware.
- Implement middleware and control, detection, and tracking algorithms developed by systems engineering teams.
- Integrate software with heterogeneous processor systems, FPGAs, external sensors, and control interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test contributions, analyze performance, and prepare systems for real-world deployment.
- Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
- Travel approximately 10% to 15%.
Requirements
- Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, an advanced related degree and at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance is required on the first day.
- Experience in at least two of embedded C/C++ software, high-performance computer systems, embedded real-time sensor and control applications, and software architecture design and implementation.
- Experience with embedded real-time operating systems such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
- Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
- Proficiency using C/C++.
- Preferred experience includes Ada, digital signal processing algorithms and software, linear algebra, VSIPL or another vector-processing library, MATLAB, C/C++ algorithm optimization, and real-time processing optimization.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
