Base Salary
$159k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Advise DoD sponsors on secure and resilient cyber-physical and mission systems, including security design, acquisition, and remediation of weaknesses.
- Conduct cyber assessments, purple team engagements, adversary emulation, red teaming, penetration testing, and other offensive security operations.
- Develop security and cybersecurity strategies and support system testing, evaluation, verification, and validation.
- Plan and lead threat-driven cyber exercises, tabletop and readiness exercises, and threat assessments.
- Serve as a systems security and cybersecurity subject matter expert and trusted independent advisor to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Research and develop capabilities and processes for analyzing system resilience and security.
- Contribute to cybersecurity projects, small technical teams, and AI use cases for cyber operational challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of related experience, master’s degree with at least 6 years, PhD with at least 3 years, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Demonstrated technical depth in Systems Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Experience developing or evaluating Systems Security Engineering solutions and capabilities.
- Experience scoping and conducting adversary emulation, simulation, or purple teaming.
- Experience with hands-on red teaming, penetration testing, and offensive security operations.
- Experience designing or leading cyber exercises and threat assessments.
- Knowledge of D3FEND, ATT&CK, Caldera, ATT&CK Evaluations, and MITRE’s public-interest work.
- Active Secret U.S. Government security clearance and eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance within one year; U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.
- Strong written, oral, interpersonal, research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
