Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop secure, resilient 5G/nextG cellular architectures, reference architectures, design patterns, solutions, and implementation strategies for government customers.
- Develop and mature enterprise 5G/nextG strategies, roadmaps, standards, governance, operational metrics, and wireless broadband infrastructure solutions.
- Lead or support 5G/nextG cybersecurity architecture, research, engineering, and implementation across U.S. government projects and programs.
- Apply AI, machine learning, automation, zero trust, 3GPP standards, and emerging nextG standards to telecommunications architecture and cybersecurity challenges.
- Develop security requirements, controls, design decisions, test objectives, acquisition criteria, and implementation guidance from threat models and risk assessments.
- Provide technical and strategic recommendations on policy, standards, acquisition, sustainment, architecture implementation, and technology transitions.
- Collaborate with government officials, program leaders, engineers, operators, and industry stakeholders and communicate technical findings and risk decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Minimum related experience is 10 years with a bachelor's degree, 8 years with a master's degree, or 5 years with a PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Advanced ability to architect secure enterprise solutions and apply zero trust principles to complex nextG systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in 3GPP, ENISA, and GSMA 5G/nextG standards, architecture, and system design.
- Experience in 5G/nextG telecommunications, wireless network architecture, telecommunications systems engineering, or related communications technologies.
- Experience with wireless broadband infrastructure and large-scale or enterprise deployments.
- Experience applying cybersecurity principles to 5G/nextG networks, architectures, and threat environments.
- Expertise in network security, identity and access management, application security, data protection, endpoint security, and cloud-hosted systems.
- Experience developing technical and security reference architectures, standards, design patterns, operational metrics, and reference models.
- Knowledge of security logging, telemetry, analytics, orchestration, SIEM, and security data lake technologies.
- Ability to adapt AI/ML capabilities to cybersecurity and operational environments and support secure telecommunications deployments.
- Strong knowledge of attack techniques, cyber threat landscapes, and threat-informed architecture and engineering practices.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Active Top Secret U.S. government security clearance and eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, relevant professional certifications, security architecture framework experience, threat-modeling experience, U.S. government policy experience, C3 operations or governance experience, SIEM and security data lake implementation experience, and senior-level 5G/nextG technical leadership.
