Base Salary
$149k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct architecture, design, code, and penetration-test security assessments of emerging AI technologies.
- Provide remediation guidance and recommend feature enhancements to address identified risks.
- Threat-model attacker methods and develop mitigations balancing security and functional requirements.
- Partner with engineering teams and business stakeholders to drive secure development lifecycle solutions.
- Define technical security standards and guidelines.
- Research emerging technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities to support strategic planning and process improvements.
- Build automated tools and processes that enable secure use of AI at scale.
- Communicate security remediation tasks to project and data owners.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of security engineering experience, including application security and penetration testing, for Senior/SMTS roles.
- At least 8 years of security engineering experience, including application security and penetration testing, for Lead/LMTS roles.
- Experience developing automated processes and improving tooling to identify and solve problems at scale.
- Experience building, evaluating, or securing large language models and agentic systems.
- Experience with AI security attack surfaces including prompt injection, data exfiltration, agent privilege escalation, and model supply-chain risks.
- Understanding of RAG architectures, classifier models, and retrieval and generation pipelines.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25, and MITRE ATT&CK is preferred.
- A related BA/BS degree and certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CCIE, CISM, CISA, or CCSK are preferred.
