Base Salary
$117k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software in C/C++ and Rust.
- Develop and modify Linux kernel drivers and work with bare-metal embedded device drivers.
- Develop standalone embedded applications for encrypted communications and cryptographic systems.
- Work with Linux in embedded environments, TCP/IP, network configuration, and networking protocols such as IPSec, MACsec, and TLS.
- Work with microprocessors and embedded processors including NIOS, ARM, and RISC-V.
- Participate in Scrum development, CI/CD software development, progress tracking, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Design and implement RESTConf interfaces and work with emulation environments.
- Travel up to 10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field.
- US citizenship and an active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance.
- At least 2–3 years of embedded software design and implementation experience in C/C++.
- At least 1 year of Linux OS experience, ideally in an embedded environment.
- Familiarity with Linux kernel driver development or modification, TCP/IP, network configuration, object-oriented software development, Agile Scrum, and CI/CD software.
- Rust experience is preferred.
- Experience with embedded processors such as NIOS, ARM, or RISC-V; RESTConf; emulation environments; IPSec, MACsec, or TLS; Python; and standalone embedded applications is helpful.
- Ability to plan, track, and report on progress and communicate effectively in oral and written form.
Benefits
- Base salary is listed as $117,000.00–$185,000.00 annually, with a location-specific range of $145,000.00–$218,000.00 annually for certain San Jose, San Francisco Bay Area, and New York City metropolitan locations.
- Additional cash or stock incentives and medical, financial, and other benefits may be provided depending on the position.
- The role requires travel of up to 10%.
