Base Salary
$50k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Triage and resolve alerts generated by cloud-platform monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve complex system and customer issues.
- Provide direct technical support to customers as needed.
- Identify alert trends and enhance monitoring to proactively improve system health.
- Diagnose root causes and solve complex technical problems through hands-on troubleshooting.
- Contribute code to increase platform reliability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
- Hands-on technical background with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and routing.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Experience in a procedural environment such as Helpdesk or 1st Line Support, consistently following runbooks and processes.
- Comfort with the Linux command line.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to work with customers.
- Ability and willingness to work the stated night-shift schedule.
- Preferred: foundational database knowledge, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Preferred: scripting experience with Python or Bash to automate tasks.
- Preferred: knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
