Responsibilities
- Build and evolve AI platform tooling, developer workflows, benchmarking systems, APIs, SDKs, and interfaces.
- Develop observability platforms and telemetry pipelines for logs, metrics, traces, and events.
- Implement instrumentation standards and distributed tracing using modern approaches such as OpenTelemetry.
- Enable end-to-end debugging, benchmarking, regression detection, and performance analysis for AI and agent workflows.
- Develop automated experimentation, alerting, feedback loops, self-healing workflows, and telemetry-driven optimization.
- Build tooling for AI workload cost visibility, forecasting, performance tuning, SLOs, reliability, and scalability.
- Own projects from RFCs and architecture through implementation, rollout, production support, documentation, and adoption.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building production software or platform systems.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with distributed systems or backend platforms.
- Experience or strong interest in observability and debugging complex systems.
- Experience or strong interest in AI/ML systems, LLMs, or agent-based architectures.
- Strong ownership and ability to drive ambiguous problems into production.
- Hands-on experience with modern agentic coding tools and multi-model workflows.
- Working knowledge of agent architecture internals, including context engineering, tool loops, and sub-agent orchestration.
- Preferred experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, telemetry pipelines, instrumentation, collectors, exporters, sampling, retention, cardinality, and observability integration into developer workflows.
- Preferred familiarity with AI and agent frameworks, LLM-call instrumentation, evaluation signals, cost-monitoring systems, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and agentic infrastructure concepts such as MCP servers, hooks, skills, subagents, sandboxing, and persistent memory.
- Strong security awareness for autonomous systems, including sandboxing, prompt injection risks, credential exposure, and guardrails.
