Responsibilities
- Develop mission-critical Go backend features and services for the Workato platform and Workato Genie team.
- Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
- Build server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
- Design and implement AI chatbot dispatching and synchronous/asynchronous AI execution features.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, SRE, and AI teams to address high availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle and write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Evaluate system improvements, investigate alternative technologies, and present proposals for architectural review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- 8+ years of industry experience.
- At least four years of backend experience with Go.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems and understanding the building blocks of large web applications.
- Understanding of code bottlenecks and general solutions, plus basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ruby on Rails experience, open-source contributions, Docker or other isolation technology experience, Redis-based caching, public cloud infrastructure experience, and experience with third-party REST APIs at scale are preferred.
- Readiness to work remotely with distributed teams, spoken English sufficient for technical interviews and collaboration, openness to new technologies, and a full-cycle product delivery mindset.
