Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance avionics software solutions for advanced aerospace products.
- Develop safety-critical embedded systems software using C, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment across the software development lifecycle.
- Apply DO-178C software development and verification processes.
- Perform structural coverage analysis and support unit-test automation.
- Contribute to software architecture, embedded-systems design, and system-level integration.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Hardware, Software Architecture, User Experience, and Product Management teams.
- Use configuration-management and change-control tools including DOORS, JAMA, SVN, and JIRA.
- Identify technical challenges, develop scalable solutions, and support continuous engineering improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of industry experience in avionics software engineering.
- Strong programming experience in C and Python.
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink software development.
- Understanding of DO-178C software development and verification processes.
- Experience with structural coverage analysis and unit-test automation tools.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with DOORS, JAMA, SVN, and JIRA.
- Understanding of embedded systems, software architecture, and system-level design.
- Experience with Heads-Up Guidance Systems (HUD) and Heads-Down Display Systems (HDD) is preferred.
- Exposure to safety-critical embedded software development in aerospace or avionics is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of enterprise engineering programs, large-scale product development, process improvement, and collaborative global engineering environments is preferred.
