Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, development, integration, and lifecycle maintenance of SystemC/TLM-2.0 virtual platforms for complex multi-core SoCs.
  • Define virtual platform modeling strategy, methodology, coding standards, and reusable model libraries across programs.
  • Own IP models and full-system platforms from specification through release and maintenance.
  • Deliver early virtual platforms for firmware, driver, OS, and application bring-up ahead of RTL and silicon availability.
  • Model memory-mapped transactions, interrupts, DMA, cache coherency, power management, security, and bus protocols.
  • Define model validation, RTL correlation, co-simulation, hybrid emulation, regression, and quality metric strategies.
  • Integrate virtual platforms with QEMU, Synopsys Virtualizer, Cadence, Siemens, Arm Fast Models, debuggers, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with architecture, hardware, software, verification, and product teams on requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Support post-silicon validation and debugging by reproducing issues on virtual platforms and performing root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor and technically guide engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical development.
  • Represent the modeling team in cross-site forums, customer engagements, and industry standards discussions.

Requirements

  • B.E./B.Tech, MS/M.Tech, or Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science.
  • Four or more years of relevant industry experience with a Ph.D., six to ten years with an MS/M.Tech, or eight to twelve years with a B.E./B.Tech.
  • Expert knowledge of SystemC, TLM-2.0, C, and modern C++ including C++14/17, with model performance optimization experience.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering production full-system SoC virtual platforms.
  • Deep experience with ARM and/or RISC-V architectures, ISS/CPU model integration, boot flows, and bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux software bring-up.
  • Strong understanding of SoC architecture, memory hierarchies, coherency protocols, interconnects, and hardware/software co-design.
  • Experience with commercial or open-source virtual platform tools and frameworks such as Synopsys Virtualizer, Arm Fast Models, QEMU, and GreenSocs/QBox.
  • Experience with RTL co-simulation, hybrid emulation, or model-to-RTL correlation.
  • Proficiency in Python and CMake for automation, model generation, and validation.
  • Experience with software development tools and practices including Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, DevOps, and code-quality tooling.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, cross-functional initiative leadership, and influence on architecture decisions.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

Benefits

  • Required travel is approximately 10% of the time.
  • The position is a 1st Shift/Days role.
  • Applicants who require access to technical data may be subject to export licensing review; this does not constitute visa sponsorship information.
