Responsibilities
- Develop DO-178C DAL-A compliant avionics software.
- Create and maintain high-level and low-level software requirements, design artifacts, embedded source code, and test cases.
- Review HLR, LLR, HLT, LLT, and source code for correctness, completeness, and DO-178C compliance.
- Maintain bidirectional traceability among requirements, source code, and test cases.
- Analyze defects, debug software, and implement bug fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software integration and certification activities.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in avionics or embedded software development.
- Strong understanding of DO-178C software lifecycle objectives, particularly for DAL-B/A avionics software.
- Proven experience developing and reviewing HLR, LLR, HLT, LLT, and source-code lifecycle artifacts.
- Hands-on embedded software development experience using C on STM32 and AVR-8 processor families.
- Knowledge of real-time embedded systems and configuration management tools such as Git.
- Experience with IEC 61508 functional safety concepts is desired.
- Familiarity with aerospace safety standards ARP4754A and ARP4761 is desired.
- Experience with IEC 61784-3 communication profiles and highest-SIL applications is desired.
- Familiarity with DO-330 tool qualification concepts and standards is desired.
- Good organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
