$203k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and long-term viability of the real-time Portal personalization platform.
- Lead the architectural design of a scalable, millisecond-latency rules and logic targeting engine.
- Integrate and evaluate generative AI and machine learning capabilities for content selection and personalization.
- Drive complex technical initiatives end-to-end across multiple systems and architectural layers.
- Build reusable tools, testing infrastructure, and workflows for product and marketing teams.
- Provide technical goals, design reviews, and feedback that help senior engineers lead projects independently.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to address technical debt, tooling gaps, and engineering skill gaps.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications, particularly backend software, API design, and client/server contracts.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, and/or Scala.
- Deep expertise in scalable architectures, messaging patterns, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Strong experience with relational database schema design, NoSQL, ORM concepts, and high-volume, low-latency data pipelines.
- Ability to integrate and evaluate functional AI models, including LLM prompting and personalization algorithms, in production.
- Solid foundation in object-oriented programming, algorithms, web application internals, test automation, and CI/CD practices.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with SaaS platforms or large-scale financial or experimentation platforms.
- Preferred experience with GraphQL and Node.js.
- Demonstrated ability to define long-term technical strategies and influence engineering best practices.
