Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support software applications using CL and RPG-based programming.
- Analyze existing programs, document findings, understand application modules and interfaces, and build modules aligned with business requirements.
- Use SQL and AS/400 concepts, including DBU, WRKQRY, subfiles, jobs, and related tasks.
- Review team members’ code and perform end-to-end testing.
- Debug and troubleshoot applications during QA testing, UAT, and production support.
- Handle client calls, communicate project progress, and liaise with clients, third-party providers, and internal Fiserv business units.
- Fix bugs and maintain existing applications while following quality-control processes.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of overall experience, including more than three years preferably in banking or the financial domain.
- Experience with CL, RPG/RPG IV/RPG Free Format, and RPGLE programming.
- Hands-on SQL knowledge and understanding of RDBMS concepts.
- Strong knowledge of AS/400 concepts, including DBU, WRKQRY, subfiles, jobs, and related tasks.
- Strong analytical, programming, application-analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Client-handling experience and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Leadership, written and oral communication, interpersonal, and independent-working skills.
- Experience with financial-services applications, preferably Signature applications, is desirable.
- Ability to understand business purposes, application dependencies, downstream systems, and relevant industry practices.
