Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with product, engineering, underwriting, and data teams to identify AI opportunities.
- Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered features for underwriting and pricing.
- Develop AI agents that extract insights from unstructured insurance data.
- Build production-grade AI infrastructure for model serving and monitoring.
- Create internal AI tools to enhance decision-making for underwriters.
- Establish best practices for prompt engineering and model evaluation.
- Own AI features from ideation to production.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with scalable APIs and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered products into production.
- Familiarity with LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
- Experience integrating AI systems into user-facing applications.
- Comfort with cloud infrastructure and deploying AI workloads.
- A product mindset with the ability to translate business problems into AI solutions.
- At least 5+ years of experience, preferably as a full-stack engineer.
