Software Engineer Graduate (Data-Infrastructure-Network-Application Network-Global Traffic Architecture) - 2027 Start
ByteDanceResponsibilities
- Design and develop L4/L7 load balancers, caching systems, API acceleration services, and other core traffic software.
- Build data pipelines and telemetry systems for data-driven traffic control.
- Develop control planes, self-service APIs, developer tooling, and supporting infrastructure for the Global Traffic Architecture.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of online traffic systems.
- Research and apply emerging technologies to improve the efficiency and scalability of traffic processing.
- Integrate ByteDance internal Agent capabilities into engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Be proficient in one or more of Python, Go, Rust, C, or C++, with hands-on Linux experience.
- Understand core networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS.
- Have familiarity with AI application development and integrating Agent capabilities into engineering workflows.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, willingness to learn, and effective collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes systems, networking, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure through coursework, internships, research, projects, or open-source contributions.
- Preferred familiarity includes Nginx or Envoy and HTTP/2, HTTP/3 (QUIC), and TLS 1.3.
