Base Salary
$149k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own an AWS infrastructure vending machine using AFT, Terraform Enterprise, AWS Organizations, and Control Tower for multi-region, multi-account provisioning.
- Author, test, version, and govern reusable Terraform modules and translate compliance requirements into Sentinel and SCP policies.
- Integrate automated security scanning, Policy-as-Code enforcement, cost guardrails, and AI-assisted remediation into developer pipelines.
- Implement active-active failover across availability zones and regions using Cloud WAN, ARC, and FIS, including catastrophic-failure Game Days.
- Integrate provisioning pipelines and AI agents with Slack for ChatOps and zero-touch operations.
- Use Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to author, review, and validate infrastructure code.
- Build centralized logging, metrics, and tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog, and define SLOs and SLIs.
- Advise internal teams on observability, alerting, and resilience architecture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or platform engineering in large-scale AWS environments.
- Expertise with Terraform state management at scale, module decoupling, and continuous IaC delivery.
- Strong Python or Go skills and experience integrating AWS SDKs such as Boto3 or the Go SDK.
- Deep experience with AWS IAM, VPC, Cloud WAN, EKS or ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and multi-region active-active disaster recovery.
- Experience with GitOps-driven deployments and automated enterprise pipeline guardrails.
- Daily practitioner experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, or equivalent.
- Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty certification.
- Preferred: AWS Control Tower, AFT, custom account vending, AWS FIS, Gremlin, agentic pipelines, AI-integrated developer tooling, Slack platform development, Bolt SDK, ChatOps automation, FinOps, Sentinel, OPA, or Vault experience.
