Base Salary
$150k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Core Java applications supporting IEX market-data publishing systems.
- Contribute to application frameworks, messaging APIs, data structures, reliability, and recovery mechanisms.
- Build and support distributed systems processing and publishing high-volume, real-time market data.
- Participate in development, testing, build and deployment processes, packaging, and dependency management.
- Partner with Product to define and develop future market-data publishing systems for the Equities business.
- Support exchange systems including market data, order entry, post-trade processing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional Java development experience, ideally with high-performance, real-time, or low-latency systems.
- Strong understanding of Core Java, multithreading, concurrency, data structures, and application design.
- Familiarity with network programming and distributed-systems concepts.
- Comfort with lower-level programming concepts such as bit shifting and signed versus unsigned data types.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
- Comfort debugging and supporting production systems.
- Electronic trading systems experience, including FIX Protocol, market-data feeds, or SIP feeds, is a plus.
- C++, KDB+, Codex or other AI-assisted coding tools, Python, and Shell experience are preferred or nice to have.
Benefits
- Starting annual base pay is $150,000 to $175,000 for the NY-based position.
- The role is eligible for bonus and equity.
- The position is based in New York.
