Base Salary

$166k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop core command-and-control software for the Lattice platform across autonomous vehicles and ground control stations.
  • Manage real-time vehicle telemetry, health, autopilot tasks, mission planning, map visualization, fleet management, and autonomous behaviors.
  • Develop distributed teaming state across vehicle fleets operating without guaranteed central authority.
  • Build, test, and deploy capabilities on physical hardware in real-world environments.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time for development, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • Design and implement consensus protocols such as Raft and CRDT-based systems for fleets of autonomous vehicles.
  • Build replicated mission data, leader election, conflict resolution, and failure semantics for distributed autonomous systems.
  • Support strong consensus and eventual consistency under varying latency and network partition constraints.
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Hold a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Have 3+ years of production-grade C++ and/or Rust experience in a Linux development environment.
  • Have experience building software involving significant data processing and analysis.
  • Be able to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with physics, mathematics, motion planning, modeling and simulation, multi-agent autonomous systems, behavior trees, flight systems, safety-critical functionality, distributed communication networks, message standards, military systems, or operational tactics.
