Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own major product experiences from concept through design, implementation, launch, measurement, and continued improvement.
- Build intuitive interfaces for generating, editing, arranging, and collaborating on AI-created presentations, data applications, and visual artifacts.
- Deliver high-quality frontend experiences covering interaction design, typography, layout, motion, accessibility, performance, and error recovery.
- Partner with users, Product, Design, and AI engineers to understand workflows, test ideas, and incorporate feedback.
- Create reusable editing, visualization, collaboration, and artifact-management primitives for future Replit products.
- Build AI-native presentation and data-application experiences and develop feedback loops and evaluations that improve generated artifacts.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience shipping high-quality, user-facing products.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS, including browser performance, application state, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Understanding of the full agentic software development stack and how coding agents build, test, review, and operate software.
- Full-stack experience including Node.js, APIs, Postgres, data models, and production debugging.
- Strong product judgment and visual taste, with the ability to balance usability, speed, correctness, polish, and maintainability.
- Preferred experience includes visual editors, presentation software, creative tools, data applications, developer tools, collaboration products, graphics systems, rich text, real-time collaboration, data visualization, AI generation, streaming responses, tool calls, or long-running agent workflows.
- Founding-company, founding-engineer, or high-visibility independent-project experience is a bonus but not required.
