Responsibilities

Design, develop, and sustain high-performance iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
Own systems through ideation, API design, instrumentation, deployment, monitoring, testing, telemetry analysis, experimentation, and iteration.
Lead architectural modernization by decomposing monoliths, building shared libraries and frameworks, and improving modularization across iOS, Android, and Web.
Evaluate and roll out new Apple platform capabilities, operating system releases, device types, form factors, and architectures.
Build and extend the internal AI harness, including agents, automation frameworks, evaluation pipelines, and guardrails.
Define observability, telemetry, and fault-tolerance standards for production mobile systems.
Partner with product, design, backend, and data teams; mentor developers and influence technical strategy.
Own production reliability through instrumentation, SLOs/SLIs, telemetry pipelines, on-call participation, incident triage, and live diagnostics.

Deep production experience building and operating consumer iOS applications with Swift and SwiftUI at significant scale, including ownership of an app with 1M+ monthly active users or comparable reach.
Strong command of modern Swift concurrency, including async/await and actors, plus Objective-C interoperability in large, long-lived codebases.
Architect-level experience designing modular, maintainable systems and making reliability and performance trade-offs.
Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools in production, with the ability to review and own the correctness, architecture, and quality of primarily AI-generated code.
Technical leadership across multiple teams, including ownership of major system architecture or modules, technical direction, and mentoring senior engineers.
Hands-on production reliability experience involving observability, instrumentation, SLOs/SLIs, telemetry pipelines, on-call rotation, incident triage, fault tolerance, and runbooks.
Demonstrated measurable improvements in performance, reliability, or user impact, along with experience influencing roadmaps and multi-team initiatives.
Strong performance optimization, observability, and system-level debugging skills; candidates should be comfortable operating with ambiguity, customer focus, and expanding ownership.
