Responsibilities
- Own the full platform stack across Development, Test, Acceptance, and Production environments.
- Automate regression testing, deployments, operations, failover, backup and restore, security monitoring, and full-stack monitoring.
- Manage the lifecycle of operating systems, middleware, databases, certificates, user access, vulnerabilities, and patches.
- Improve application monitoring using Grafana, Prometheus, and Log4all.
- Support High Availability and Disaster Recovery testing.
- Develop and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous deployment and delivery.
- Identify root causes, propose technical solutions, and own issues and improvements through completion.
- Define technical requirements, support change requests and user stories, and set up environments and automation.
- Implement and document IT risk and security controls in accordance with ING information security policies.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum squad, demonstrate features, collaborate with capability squads, and provide technical handover.
- Travel occasionally abroad, including to Amsterdam.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation tool such as Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Terraform.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK stack, or similar monitoring and logging tools.
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat operating systems and networking, including clustered environments, server management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, Git, Sonar, or Checkmarx.
- Experience with at least one virtualization or containerization technology, such as VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Ability to automate release processes and operations using Python, Shell, or Ansible.
- General knowledge of REST APIs.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and organizational skills.
- Nice-to-have knowledge of the Spring Boot framework, low-latency infrastructure, security and IT risk including SOX and vulnerability management, and Oracle databases.
- Advanced English; additional foreign-language skills are relevant.
