Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that enhance efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
- Work across development, DevOps, and application support within the APS team.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
- Manage containerized applications and infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Support database architecture, integration, and schema change management using tools such as Liquibase.
- Monitor systems to support reliability and performance and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
- Act as a business subject matter expert and help define DevOps best practices, automation, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and practical experience with Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Java, containers and containerization, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, and Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes orchestration and Helm package management.
- Experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, integration, monitoring tools, and Liquibase schema change management.
- Understanding of GitOps principles and a focus on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and best practices.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Willingness to travel, the right to work in the UK, and the ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
