Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that increase efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
- Work across development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and UCD teams to apply DevOps best practices.
- Create, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
- Manage containers and containerization using Kubernetes and Helm.
- Build automation scripts in Python and support infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Monitor systems to maintain reliability and performance.
- Manage database schema changes and support architecture and integration activities.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations and facilitate business knowledge.
- Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to ensure services run effectively and work is prioritized appropriately.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Experience with multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
- Experience with Jenkins, Liquibase, and GitOps principles.
- A proactive mindset focused on automation, monitoring, continuous improvement, and best-practice definition.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
